I currently have at work, four in vehicle hard wired units in conjunction with MDT's.

These are tracked in NZ via online OnlineAVL via Telecom at the moment.

I was looking to expand this into overseas units and was looking into options to do this.

I tried all the NZ numbers for Navman ie web site, CHCH phone book, and they all appear disconnected?????

Anyone got a local contact for Navman, just so I can see if the best option is to just expand what I have currently, or build new technology into my overseas units???

Cheers

Alex

Christchurch no longer operational for Navman, and my only contact has gone overseas to set up his own little navman project lol.

Hmmmm, Interesting Frown

Sounding very much like I should be looking at other options then, I dont really like not having local support if needed!

A couple of years ago Navman was sold to Brunswick, an American company. Earlier this year the company was sold again to Mitac. Just today there's a press release that Mitac will rename its Mio business to Navman. I am going to post this soon.

In any case, Navman is based in Auckland.
