can someone check their slingshot gateway if they are also having same latency issue.
with this latency, all my internet site browsing is slow esp to AU.. working from home so this kind of latency is no good for me.

prev i can get 50ms average in our AU vpn connection..

I tried contacting Slingshot support but not able to help.. they are telling me issue with filter/modem.. but I dont believe on that because it is the gateway that is having issue.. not the modem.

Ben, is there anyway you can help on this.

some other info from my side.

Hi,

Can you please PM me your account number along with a tracert to the DNS address? Do you get higher than 1MS to the modem on ethernet?

Thanks,
ben

Are you on wired or wireless to your modem?

Hmm, mine was a bit bad but was getting lousy response to the router too. Been a few months since a reboot so doing that now and will see how it goes.

Guys, problem now resolved.

here's what I have done to troubleshoot the issue..

connected by laptop directly to modem using wired. and works ok no high latency.
then connected by laptop on router using wired and having the high latency.

so i suspected my router as the issue... so rebooted my router and still having issue...
my next step was to check all my wifi devices.

started on my imac. shutdown my  mac and viola!! the high latency is gone.
so I know now what was the culprit.

now started imac and checked all apps that are running. closing one by one.
and guess what the culprit is....  IT WAS THE ICLOUD!!!! grrrr... for some reason this has been enabled (maybe someone from house) and uploading all my music, pictures, etc.

after disabling iCloud and viola.. all GOOD.

thanks Ben for giving me idea on what is the culprit.

happy with 22ms!

Yes, always use wired. Wireless is annoying for this reason.
