Hi,
I'm trying to work out whether calls that are forwarded from a 2 degrees number (when it's diverted) will count towards minutes in a talk pack, or whether I'll have to pay at the regular rate.

I have rung 2 Degrees, and after spending a decent amount of time on hold they reckoned that I'd have to pay the regular rate, but they didn't sound so sure, so I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience in the matter.

My scenario is that I'm moving to Hong Kong, and wondering if I can cheaply set up forwarding between my NZ cell phone number, and a Hong Kong mobile number. Hong Kong mobiles are covered in 2 Degree's China120 talk pack, so I figure it might work quite well. If diverted calls are covered by it.

My other option is forwarding all calls to a local NZ 2talk number, where I'll then cheaply forward them on from there. Once again it'd be good to know if diverted calls are covered by the local talk packs.

I'm not aware of any provider (mobile or fixed) that includes call forward/divert as part of included minutes.

Okay... As far as I understand, 2talk does it.

I would've assumed that it would be the norm.

You pay at the regular rate; which means, if you have minutes that could otherwise pay for the call (e.g. the call is forwarded to a normal NZ number), then they will be used.

What salty says is correct - it will use your minutes if you have any available, then it will go onto casual rates once your minutes are exhausted.

Can not forward to an international number.
Forwards to an 0800/0508 number do not use minutes as they are freeeeee.

Used, and set this up for several people

If you are on the 19$ combo that has free calling to 2Degrees connections - your divert will also be free if you divert to a 2Degrees connection (note, an 022 number does not mean it is on 2D, it could be ported to VF/TCNZ)
