Hi all,

As above, I have moved from SNAP UFB to MR and using ASUS RT-N56U as the main router now, wondering if i could reconfigure the Fritz box 7390 to the Access Point to extend my wireless coverage. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Disable DHCP and use a LAN port as the uplink. You'll need to manually assign a LAN IP on the same subnet if you want to be able to log back into it.

the fritz will offer you a "AP Mode" dont use that, you can do it so it stops attempting to dial at all, but you loose the use of "port 1" on the fritz.

my 7390 runs in AP mode flawlessly, even happily provides phone services for everything while not handling anything else which is nice.

I don't really need port 1 as i got switch as well, do you mind giving me a rough guide how you set it up if i don't use the AP function provided by Fritz , do i need to reset the router? Thanks.

If you are setting it as an AP you shouldnt allocate anything like this, turn dhcp off and let your router handle it.
