Tbh I'm waiting for Fibre. It has been well over 2 years since Slingshot first announced that fibre was in the works. I'm very much sick of waiting and waiting. The $99 unlimited plan from Orcon is looking mighty tempting. I'm also waiting to see what Snap announce for their medium speed plans.

To be fair that's probably the same reason I haven't changed yet. I'm dreading the day I have to do it.

You should buy him a domain for his birthday/christmas so that he can keep his email forever. Even ISPs ditch domains down the line.

Guys, early november doesn't necessary mean the 1st. I'd give it a week before complaining about nothing happening. Though if this gets pushed back again I'm out...

Granted, however there is undeniably demand for this product.

Some are unwilling to wait, which may be at Slingshots expense.

While we will wait, sooner the better and all... unless the plans are not good value and we end up staying on ADSL2+  :)

Hey guys, just got an email from our marketing team. Relevant info is copied verbatim below :)

Both VDSL and Fibre plans will be launching soon, and we promise they’ll be worth the wait!

We do apologise that the launch of these products has dragged out a bit, it’s just taken a while to get our ducks in a row and create some plans that we think are really awesome.

If you want first dibs on the service you can email our marketing team at slingshotmarketing@team.slingshot.co.nz and we can get you to the front of the queue, and probably give you some inside info on the plans and pricing and some of the cool features (as long as you keep them to yourselves!).

Cheers,
Chris

What will happen first? Slingshot vdsl or analog tv becoming a historic artifact?

Yeah, I didn't get a reply from slingshotmarketing@team.slingshot.co.nz either, sent the email on Friday. Kinda want the marketing guys to start the sales pitch now, even if the product isn't ready.

Come on Slingshot Marketing (and Sales) sell us something. Personally, my patience is at breaking point.
