waaahhhhh

Not fair, I am in Auckland, and only get ADSL speed, only 3.5mbps, too far from the exchange to get VDSL and fiber is not going to be her until 2019 at least.

Love our house and area too much to move.

Super sweet deal however.

I know enough to be dangerous

Can the fritzbox units be used in bridge mode? I'd like to continue using my current router if I were to get this.
Also would there be a possibility of more data if one were not to take the free modem, but still go into a contract? If the fritzbox can't be used in bridge mode then it's not of much use to me.

Just upgraded to VDSL last week, do existing customers need to do anything to switch to the new prices?

I'm wondering this too. I'm thinking the following:

"Existing contracts will be re-rated to the new pricing during August 2013."

Means it will apply to existing contracts, but am a little unclear on whether just price will change or if data caps\etc also change for existing customers.

This will happen during August :)

Semi serious suggestion: Make friends with someone with VDSL or Fibre. Set up a 5ghz wireless link. Of course this requires a line of sight (high roof, pole on roof, or just clear path) and a buddy nearby - but maybe a chance to make a friend? :P

Changing to VDSL & Snap Plus (VoIP) incurs no extra cost.
If you want to change from VoIP to a standard copper phone line, there is a one off charge of $52 to do this.

Hi there

I'm currently a slingshot customer :) But looks like I'm soon gonna be a Snap customer hehe. With Slingshot not currently offering this type of service :( and now with these Competive plans its too tempting to resist. Well done Snap :) was awaiting this price drop and to get a fritzbox for 24 month contract and pay $50 extra for 3790 fritzbox sweet deal as a great router.

How does this work if I already have naked-DSL with another provider? How long can I expect to be without internet during the swap over?

These new snap plans might look attractive but they are gst exclusive making Telecom plans more affordable

It clearly says at the bottom of the VDSL sign up page "All prices are inclusive of GST".

Do whatever you want to do man.

All of our @Home plans are GST inclusive, as others have already pointed.

All of our @Work plans are GST exclusive. I've just had a quick look at the website now and it seems to be correct, so hopefully we'll just assume you were looking at the @Work options?

You do raise a good point though as a number of other RSPs in the market actively advertise to consumers but with a GST exclusive price, which we do believe is quite misleading. We just want to make sure that end users are comparing apples with apples.
