typically in NZ ADSL is delivered over PPPoA with a 1500 MTU and VDSL is PPPoE with a 1492 MTU - in this case there is a higher overhead with VDSL due to PPP, so given an equivalent sync rate you would actually get lower goodput on VDSL (<1% difference though and only on max packet size)
PPPoA and PPPoE are normally 1492 on most ISP's. There are exceptions to this, and a number (including Spark being the most obvious) who offer 1500 bytes for both.
sorry, which ISPs do 1492 on PPPoA? AFAIK the Chorus ISAM negotiates 1500 MRU with the end customer modem, it's not up to the ISP.

0.26 CRCs isn't much to be worried about that is reasonably low.
The connection has been stable for nearly 48 hours now since they reset the port with no resyncs by DLM (I was getting 2-3 a day before the new wiring in the first few days and at least one a day after that)
Only change that appears to have occurred is bitswap has been turned on for both up and down.
Getting stable 22Mbps down and 1.2Mbps up. Low latency (8ms to Auckland from Raglan).
If it stays like this I'll be "satisfied" although I had hoped to get better upload performance.
bitswap will turn on and off, it is nothing to worry about.
If any DLM movements make, it will likely be a jump to DLM-2 (you currently sound to be on DLM-1)
this will give you a 14ms increase in latency.
