And here...200 down, 430up.

Happy to give it some time to come right, not exactly crimping my style at the moment, and to be honest it was the increased upload speed I was mainly looking for (was on 200/20)

Hi Maslink,

Can you please PM us your broadband customer number or username, we'll take a look for you.

Thanks,

Ralph ^JOB

I'm also getting around 300/430 Mbs (In CHCH to CHCH Speedtest server). It's not bad at all, but I'm wondering if it's my FritzBox 7390 (Also running VOIP).

Any ideas?

I had exactly the same issue in Dunedin when I got Giga Speeds. An upgrade to the 7490 fixed the issue.

The 7390 can't handle the full speeds (but in the real world you are never going to have issues unless you are running a huge number of connections/users.

But saying that if you are paying for the extra you want a Router that will handle it...

I have exactly the same issue, was upgraded this morning, Ultra Fast Fibre installed a new ONT (apparently the older one wasn't suitable), and speeds are now 200 down, 500 up.

Have sent you a PM @2degreesCare

Hi Migrif,

I have been able to locate your account through past interactions, there was a limit set in your modem. We have corrected this now.

Thanks,

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

I am having this exact same issue. Like some others here, my downstream was initially capped at 200Mb/s - a call to tech support managed to bring this up to 300~400ish Mb/s, but the speeds have never been able to exceed beyond this point. FritzBox 7390 with VOIP - Speedtest from AKL to AKL. Ethernet connection.

Seems like the issue with upstream being properly set and downstream not is a common and long running issue here. Long time snap customer, and was funny to wake up to a 200/500 connection today.

Hi djrubbie,

The profile is set automatically on our end when order completion is received, which can be delayed in some cases and varies between wholesalers.

We can update manually if required, just send us a message here or give the team a call on 0800 022 022 opt 9.

Thanks

Hmmm i got a call a while ago from Broadspectrum booking in a time for my ONT to be changed.  Wonder if they cant handle the throughput.  Also resigning for 24 months so looking forward to getting the 7490 for free, hope it means ill be able to  avoid this :)

I am having an issue after upgrading. stuck at 200 down / 450 up

Invercargill

Upgrade done on Saturday morning. Have been told by tech support at 2d first the needed to make a change. Then that it is because they have not upgraded Invercargill yet so I will not get the gigabit speed until this is completed...

Do you have the large black Huawei ONT or the small white one?
