kyhwana2: I assume you select the $20/month contract plan when going through the online signup form too, with no added extras?
kyhwana2: Oh, also a friend of mine called the 0800 number and was told he'd get the free 100TXT's a month, but not the 20minutes of calls? Maybe your support people need some more training/updating on this?
Slingshot: Best thing is to call us in that respect.
ahmad: While I won't take it up myself I will get a family member onto this asap - what time does the call centre close tonight and what will we need to provide the CSR in order to get it all set up?

After years of being frugal due to (what I personally consider) very expensive calling and txt options in NZ, I think it would be completely inappropriate for me to miss out on this amazing offer.
While I won't take it up myself I will get a family member onto this asap - what time does the call centre close tonight and what will we need to provide the CSR in order to get it all set up?
Final question for your "mini-FAQ" would be - how long does it take to get the phone/sim/plan up and running, and how much down time is there between losing the XT line and getting the Slingshot line?
ahmad: Cheers :) Sorry more questions.
So in the 2-3 days before receiving our SIM (I presume phone comes at the same time?) do we continue to use the XT SIM and line? Does porting happen AFTER we receive the phone to ensure as little downtime as possible?
Cheers!

In order get this out quickly, the free minutes and txt's are only available via calling us - as per the standard offer at the moment. https://www.slingshot.co.nz/MobilePlans.aspx
