I'm looking at getting UFB with Snap. I understand the Fritzbox routers can't be put into bridge mode, but I already have a fairly new Asus AC router which I don't really want to stop using. Can I disable the wireless on the Fritzbox, plug my router into one of the LAN ports on the Fritzbox, then still connect wirelessly to my Asus router? A phone plugged into the Fritzbox will still work even with wireless disabled?

Yes you can. This is exactly what I am doing right now. Have Wireless disabled on the fritz!box 7390 and have setup a Ubiquiti AP for the WiFi coverage. Working a treat. My cordless phone connected to the fritz!box phone port works fine as well with Snap's VOIP service.

Do whatever you want to do man.
