Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this..

I'm unable to connect to VPN while using Orcon's new Genius black box. I haven't troubleshoot it fully and don't have much idea where to start.

What happened was yesterday morning I was trying to connect to my work's VPN in NZ, and it just kept timing out, as if the server never respond.

I disconnected from the NetComm NF4V, and jumped on my laptop (Mac OSX Mavericks) via WIFI and it's still the same.

Then I just opened my phone's hotspot, and that allowed me to connect to VPN.

I came in to work and asked our IT and they said they don't have a whitelist or blacklist IPs, so it shouldn't be my IP.

Oh yeah, we use the Cisco VPN client to connect, so it's not Windows built in client.
It should be fairly standard though, as I just used the same credentials on the Mac which worked as well.

Any help would be much appreciated!
Was somewhat amusing having fast VDSL connection sitting there and resorting to 3G for a connection..

nb. just found this link will give it a try even though it's not the same router... but wondering if there is similar action to be done for NF4V?

Ok, I don't know what to make of it, it's at least working for me now.

I've had to "untick" the Enable IPSEC box under Advanced Setup -> NAT -> ALG

Once that's off, I can connect.

I came across some people saying it needs to be enabled for Cisco VPN Client to work, but who knew turning it off would work too... this is less than satisfying but at least it's working.

Thanks for your time! And if mod could change the title that'd be great too.... (if anyone else would need this..)
