I hope the answer is the second option.

Signed up for naked VDSL with Snap on Friday and the Fritzbox 7390 was delivered by courier this morning. I was told by a Snap support tech that my install date isn't until 5th March, so there's no real sense of urgency here, but I can't help noticing there doesn't seem to be any way to connect the DSL/TEL port of the router to a telephone jack?

In total the box contained the router itself, the power cable, two yellow standard ethernet cables and the installation guide sheet. The guide makes reference to a "white DSL cable" but my box contained no such cable. Is this an item the Chorus tech is going to bring or am I missing something I'm supposed to have?

moop: I confess I don't see how this is possible as the wall jacks in my house are of the standard British BS6312 type that most New Zealand houses have (see image link below), and cannot take an RJ-45/ethernet cable.

You will have a new RJ45 jackpoint as part of your VDSL install.
Don't worry, be happy :)
