I had always thought that phones and plans were getting continually cheaper so I was very disappointed to see that the latest 2 Degrees plans haven't followed that trend.
At the beginning of the month I visited my local store and the salesman "sold" me on the $89 share everything plan which came with a Galaxy S4 at no cost, Landline On Your Mobile at no cost and additional users for $20 each.
I returned the next day after checking with my wife that she was happy to move her phone to this plan but was told that the free landline on your mobile offer had expired and they weren't prepared to honour it. I emailed customer support and they told me to get the shop to call them and they should be able to do something but by then the cost of a user had gone up from $20 to $29 so I was still losing.

I called in to the shop today foolishly thinking that with the release of the S5 the S4 would be a bit cheaper. Wrong again! not only was the S4 now $49 but the plan had increased from $89 to $99

So in the space of 2 weeks the the plan had gone from nothing up front and $109 per month (With 1 additional user and Landline on your mobile) to $49 up front and $148 per month

If the salesman had told me that the offer was expiring when I first enquired or if he did the decent thing and honoured it the next day I guess I would now be a happy 2 Degrees customer but thats now not likely to happen anytime soon.

I guess my point is that if you have price increases youo should make sure that your people make customers well aware of them, don't just hide them away in the fine print on your website.

Thanks for listening
Bob

In this case I will say it is poor salesmanship. The information that the free landline on mobile and the price increases for share anything were promotions together with the expiry date of the promotion was available on the website from the start of the promotion
