Sorry of some of this has been covered, my search didn't seem to turn up what I was looking for.

I am in Christchurch and upgrading from Snap VDSL to Snap UFB on the 100/50 plan, and just had a couple of questions regarding the Fritz! My install gets completed tomorrow, so just want to have all the info I need before then.

Snap tech support says I need to change both the downstream and upstream speed in "connection settings" to 100000 kbit/s. But on a 100/50 plan shouldn't it be set to 102400 kbit/s and 51200 kbit/s respectively? Does it make a difference? The person I spoke to was reading from a manual and didn't sound that knowledgeable so thought I'd ask here.

Also, I am currently running firmware 5.22 as I understand later firmware had issues on VDSL. What is the best firmware to be running on UFB?

Thanks for the help

What Fritz box model are you using Paul1977?

And as the others have said - set it to 999999.
