I am not sure if this is posted in the right place but here I go,

My street has just started a Chorus UFB install so I thought it would be a good time since it will not be complete for about two months to get costs and hardware that will be needed when I decided to have UFB run up to my premise. 

I am currently with Spark on VDSL and sync at around 30 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up and my family have been with them for about the last twenty years, but after issue after issue I have decided it is time to move on. I have chosen Snap after talking with friends and doing research online.

As far as my setup goes, I have three HP Proliant servers that do various different bandwidth intensive tasks along with about ten other computers throughout the house and two Smart TV's plus a few iPhones and iPads. I am using the ISP purchased Huawei HG659B and I have a 24 port Gigabit switch connected to it for all of my hardwired devices and it is somewhat reliable with a few issues.

However I intend on getting new equipment when Fibre is completed and I get it installed so I can take advantaged of it. 

I am interested in the Snap Lightwave Home 200 Ultra, to my knowledge and research the phone service is in a form of VOIP through the modem over Fibre. The modem included in their package is the Fritz 7490 and as you can probably understand I am looking for something a bit better to suit the kind of usage I will be doing. I was originally intending on purchasing the Linksys WRT1900ac as it is a rock solid router with unmatched performance (the Asus RT-AC66U may also be comparable). However these products don't feature any kind of VOIP phone service with phone ports like the Fritz box does. I have been a bit stuck but then I thought that something along the lines of a Linksys SPA2102 could potentially work. Its a simple VOIP modem that could connect to one of the Ethernet ports on the WRT1900AC.

So my question is would that kind of setup work? Chorus ONT to WRT1900AC with VLAN10 tagging setup to the SPA2102 for Voice. I understand Snap would likely not support it but I will obviously hold onto the Fritz Box for troubleshooting and not to mention the fact I would be in a 24 month contract.

My other question is that we currently have an Xtra email address with them and if we leave will we be able to keep those addresses? We will still have two mobile phones "On Account" with Spark but we won't have a Landline or Internet service with them.
