Hi there, I am signed up to 2degrees Broadband's 12-month fixed term. It started on 12 Jan 2016.

Will be leaving the property in late December 2016. I understand new tenants will move in on 1 Jan 2017.

I'm trying to see what I can do to avoid the $249 early termination fee. I will be happy to pay up to 12 Jan 2017. But if I don't cancel the subscription before late December, will the new tenants be able to connect to their preferred provider?

If it is important, the connection that I have is Ultra Fast Fibre.

Moving the connection to another location is not an option (complicated story).

Thanks for your advice!

I don't see why you're worrying about this. Pay your last bill when it's due (remember you pay in advance) and cancel at the same time so you're service is paid for up until the 12th Jan.
