My parents recently changed from ADSL to fibre. Their house is old so they paid the wiring and maintenance fee just in case they may need it.

Do they still need it with fibre?

Thankfully fiber kills off this charge and makes it clear where the providers problems stop and yours begin. Having a socket on the LFC's device is much better than the demarc being fixed terminals in a plastic box with non-standard screws outside in the rain where it is hard to connect a device to test it for most people.

Hello,

We still offer Wiring & Maintenance on our Fibre services as we use Hybrid wiring which utilises copper within the property for Homeline. If you do want to remove it though, Just flick through a message with the account info and I'll get that sorted.
