Hey Guys/Gals

I have been with ORCON fiber for the past year or so and for the past 6 months i have been rocking a Ubiquity Router with VLAN 10 tagged so i can use it in place of my ORCON supplied router.

Yesterday i rang ORCON to see if i could get a better deal because i was no longer under a contract and to my surprise i got an extra 20 bucks off a month and a new ORCON router turning up in the mail.

Orcon's reasoning for a new router is because i am going onto a "new technology platform"and my old ORCON router will stop working (not that i have been using it anyway). Does anybody know anything about this " New technology Platform" and what (if anything) will be changing regarding the settings you need to put into your router in order to do away with the standard Orcon router?

FYI

I have been on the 200Mbps down and 20Mbps up UFB plan for over a year now and this is the same plan they are moving me onto with this new plan running on the "new technology platfom"

If you don't have a voice service then your configuration won't change + your existing router will continue to work.  HTH.
