My daughter is on VDSL in Lower Hutt, getting a good speed, about 75/40

Recently a Chorus man arrived wanting to blow in fibre to the side of the house. (the microduct is already there from when the neighbour got UFB).  He said that there is no requirement to actually change to UFB, but Chorus wanted to put the fibre to the house for future-proofing.

My question is, can she keep the same IPv4 address if she changes from VDSL to UFB ??

cheers.

yes the static IP is assigned to your username not the circuit, so if you move across to UFB the static IP will stay with your account.
