Hi

I started using 0.facebook.com yesterday and noticed this morning $1.96 in gprs charges !

Now I did upload a 1MB photo to FB and I suspect that is chargeable but even still at pre pay casual rates of 0.50c per MB that should of only cost me 0.50c. I have background data and sync turned off

Does 2degrees provide reports on usage ?
What could these charges be  ?

If you log into your account at 2degrees you will be able to get a breakdown

Thank you for the reply. I did that and the output doesn't give me a breakdown. I'll call 2degrees this morning and see what they say

Thank you  Laughing

I started manually deleting them and could see that when I deleted a duplicate post eg. # 610960 it  appeared to go but the reply count wasn't reducing... Frown

Just got off the phone they tell me they can't provide a breakdown but to ensure all background services are turned off [which I thought I had] . I did discover that Satellite location was on this morning so I have now turned that off too. If the problem persists they will "escalate" tomorrow

i used the 2d facebook zero service before
there is no cost
one thing to be careful of is bookmark the 0.facebook.com page, this will avoid the extra connection cost which will usually be a couple of cents

Yes I have book marked the page.

Lets see how I get on today. When I spoke with 2degrees they weren't sure whether leaving myself logged into 0.facebook.com all day wouldn't incur any charges.. I'd like to think leaving myself logged in all day so I can receive FB msgs would still incur no cost

Uploading a photo to FB does NOT use the 0.facebook.com domain, and is chargeable.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

Don't you need a minimum balance of 1c to initiate a data session even when the traffic is Zero rated

Because you were using an android phone, the moment you turned your data on to use 0.facebook.com, your phone would of started syncing with google and all your other accounts in the background, therefor using your credit. You can turn this off by disabling background data from settings (under applications perhaps?).
