This is not the first time I've posted here about this.

Call centre = On hold for 10 minutes, then it hangs up on me (this happened twice)

Email = I emailed support@slingshot.co.nz and receieved an email telling me to use www.slingshot.co.nz/help

Email link as above = 404 error

Support via website form = "An error occurred processing your request" (multiple browsers)

WTH?

Dear slinghsot,

You are charging me for a static IP when I don't even have broadband with you. Please remove this and credit back 3 months worth of the static IP charges. My account name is jonofan.

Thanks,

Jono

Since this is an billing issue rather than technical, you may try calling them again on a weekday.

There's also a help form on the "contact us" section, try that.

Yeah, but the fact remains that the call centre just hangs up on me? I tried the contact form on their website, got an error.

When I was with them they never replied to emails anyway . The only way I could get hold of them was by phone. I suspect the link in the email is an old link, sloppy I know that they haven't picked it up. If you go to their website and go to the support section that should connect to the right link. Or phone them during the week in normal business hours, otherwise failing that , write them a snail mail letter or fax.

Hi,

Sorry you've had such bad experiences with us.

Since the new website there has been a few issues with emails etc.

You can pm me here or email me on benb@team.slingshot.co.nz and I'll see what I can do (probably fix whatever is wrong).

Thanks,
Ben

Hi,

As for the new online help form, any word flagged as a spelling error will generate an error message.   Just look for a word highlighted in red before sending.

Troll, right?

What if my name is picked up as a spelling error?

Took me about 3.5 seconds to find their help section from their homepage. http://help.slingshot.co.nz/

Great job. Now tell me how that page would help me get through to slingshot support?

Worth noting is that I've emailed Ben (above) and he's resolved my issue. I just find it awful that it was so difficult for me to contact slingshot. It makes me wonder how someone like my mum get support from them, as she doesn't have a geekzone account.

There is a link on the right hand side of that page 'Submit a question to our support team.'

I agree with you tho, sounds like they have a few technical issues to sort with their support paths. Poor form.

Hey Ben,

You'll notice in my original post, that I went to this via the website and wasn't able to proceed through here as I kept getting an error. Upon testing this now I see this has since been fixed, so I guess this thread must achieved something.
