A shout out to @ChrisNZL for his excellent extension for google chrome:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/snap-usage-monitor/okffoefibimfmcddjbmbfnlbjdpjokkn/details

Dont think it's been posted here yet, and im sure there's plenty of Chrome users on Snap who would find this handy.

Excellent tool; kudos to ChrisNZL! :)

Looking on github it appears there is also a Safari version, and perhaps a possibility of a firefox version at some point?

Awesome!!

Using my cap has never been a problem but I do like the little add-on a lot! Especially like the 'network events'. box.

Has this been shared on Snap's facebook?

It has, we love these addons! They are really well made. We have them listed on our support pages:

Chris, looks like a great app, do you have a add-on for mac users on version 23.0.1271.101?

It works on the mac version of chrome, I went into my virtual machine and it worked. Same link above unless your talking about Safari. (This is the newest version of chrome just got it off the web this morning)

Hi guys, thanks. Glad people are liking it. I know I find it handy to keep an eye on my data!

@rolyatt If you can update your Chrome to the latest version, that might be easiest? Otherwise if you want I can create a version that doesn't enforce the minimum version requirement (I think Chrome 22 would be the min)... let me know if you'd like me to create a special build for you to try (would only take a moment, no big deal). When I update the extension, I don't normally allow older versions of Chrome to run it, because I've no way of testing older versions of Chrome.

Also worth mentioning, I've migrated this extension as a generic Chromium extension for any Chromium-based browser (eg Opera Next, Comodo Dragon, etc):
https://github.com/ChrisNZL/snap-chromium

The build available in the Chrome Web Store is the same one as snap-chromium so no need to worry about switching or anything if you already have it.

I tried making this for Safari but Safari's extension API and capabilities is somewhat lacking behind Chrome, found it quite annoying so probably won't update the Safari one further.

I had a look at making a Firefox extension, but Firefox extension development requires installing Python, and you have to relaunch Firefox every time you want to test a change... I couldn't even be bothered finishing a Hello World extension, heh.

Nice work. Much better than running TUC in my Win7 VM.

EDIT: Oh, and just as I was thinking of giving Safari another chance... Guess not haha

Is it possible/easy to adapt this to work with Snap Prepay Connection accounts as used in the Uni Halls and various other places?

Is Prepay account data displayed under https://myaccount.snap.net.nz/summary ? If so, then probably!

Could you email me copies of the HTML files that display relevant details for your Prepay Connection?
Deeper links from the Account Summary page are good too :)
Will also need the original URL for each file.
If I know what to screen scrape, it can be done.

Instructions on how to save and send me HTML files are here:
