On Orcon Business UFB.  Just after midnight latency went through the roof to the US.

What was a 180ms ping jumped to 400-500ms. Made ssh rather hard!

I have a /29 behind my UFB connection. Orcon must be doing some strange load balancing/routing or something. From two different IP's from the /29 I get consistantly different ping times for the same destination IP in the US (virtual host in US). Funky. One gives 200ms the other 175ms. If I wasn't looking at it i wouldn't believe it either :)

Between midnight and 4am we were upgrading a key network component, to preserve connectivity we shifted traffic temporarily around the work being carried out. This is the single report I have seen of anyone noticing :-)

I presumed it was willful seeing as it started at midnight :)

Any comment on the outage I have in my logs for the 16th from around 4am - 7am?
