I have slingshot global enabled so Iplayer works and I beleive I am allowed to watch it as I am from overseas!
So how do I get the iplayer app on my nexus 5 and my kindle fire hd?

I have looked around the net and there are the usual convoluted re invent the wheel options
anyone come up with a "4 easy step option?"

Its probably only made for Tablets, I have somehow got it on my Nexus 7 what I can only guess is when I was playing with a VPN ages ago, I have tried Tunlr.net what works on my laptop fine but does not seem to work on the Nexus 7 as the app just loads blank.

I have two google accounts one what I setup while I was in the UK and my NZ one but none can find the app using the TUNLR service and I am currently not subscribed to a VPN service at the moment.

Iplayer is available to people that pay a TV licence in the UK not that many people follow that rule.
There is also ITV player too, don't know if they have an app or not.

I use Hola for Android as VPN.

It has to be on before it will show the Iplayer app in the play store for the gmail acc you set up while using the VPN.

I did have a vpn setup and a uk associated gmail that i set up whilst under the vpn
When i did all that the i player that had not shown when under NZ  came up but it would not recognise my nexus 5 as suitable device
I might give it a go with Hola?
hmmmm
I used a vpn on my computer then my nexus connected via the network to the computer
maybe somewhere in there it went wrong

I tried using Hola for android and still no luck it wont show the iplayer in google play
