My GeniusGo sometimes rings my cellphone for incoming home phone calls although I have always had setting "Receive home phone calls" set to OFF.  I really only want GeniusGo to make outgoing calls.

This was frequent last year until Jul/Aug when it stopped happening :)

Now, around latest (Jan) android app update (1.6) it has started up again :(
It is still not consistent and I cannot correlate it with anything obvious to me...

My cell is Sony Ericsson Xperia Active running Android 4.0.4

Ive actually given up on Go on iPhone due to the opposite... set it to ON and only rings occasionally and then I cant answer it. Also, call quality seems to be intermittent - some days its fine, other days its shocking. (on Wifi)

Its a great concept but just seems flaky unfortunately :(

Hi,

Have you already uninstalled / reinstalled the application?  (You'll need to re-link it with your account).

If so can you PM me with the affected mobile's number and account name please and I'll have a look.

No, I hadn't uninstalled/reinstalled.
I will do that next.

I deleted it from my iPhone just this morning for the exact same reason. While the app is a good idea in theory, in practice it is far from usable unfortunately. And yes I had already tried reinstalling it but to no avail.

OK, deinstalled/reinstalled GeniusGo just now.
It asked an update to Google Play services but didn't do that when upgrading before.
So far, it honours the setting - tried one each way.

Thanks for doing that, at least it rules out a couple things.  You can email me the details at socialmedia@team.orcon.net.nz and then just reply on this board so I know to go looking.  Cheers!
