Hi Slinghot

I just received a text message from your team and my application is currently on hold because they can't find BigPipe on your list to take over my current internet connection.

I have queried this as well on Bigpipe forum http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=158&topicid=142748

but just wondering if anyone here from slingshot to help me and move forward my application.
it is quite well known already about bigpipe but Slinghost never heard of this..

I logged my application last week and hoping this will be all done before 31st of March as this is the last day of my Bigpipe internet.

Your prompt help would really appreciate.

Yes, they replied to me on Sunday which then I called Slingshot to advise the other name of BigPipe (which is Telecom Digital Ventures under Chorus system).

But I am so disappointed when I called slingshot today to follow up my internet connection.. and guess what, they said that it has not been action yet because they dont know what Bigpipe is... and so I told the person from slingshot today that I called last Sunday twice! and advised that Bigpipe is also known as Telecom Digital Ventures...
the person from slingshot told me that no one called on Sunday and they could not see any update on my account.. then I was hold for 2 mins then he mentioned that their system was down last Sunday... (wow!)

sigh...

I just hope that they can push my application before 31st March..

Having no internet connection sucks so I've noted for us to NOT cut you off on the 31st when the trial ends, giving you an extra week to move if you need it. Let us know if you need more time.

Are you going to post feedback on reason for ditching BigPipe?

My experience with BigPipe is really great! so far the best ISP I have dealt with...
can stream movies in HD (Netflix, Hulu) with no buffering, latency is better compare with Telecom, Telstraclear and Slingshot...

The only prob is they don't accept amex which is the only way my company can pay... so need to find another ISP.
I was with Slingshot for 2 years prior Bigpipe and can do stream netflix and hulu in superHD as well (tried Telecom and Telstraclear but getting issues on buffering due to proxy).

I did considered Vodafone cable as they are the only ISP that can provide faster download (50MB or 100MB) but I checked that coda cable is also having issues on streaming videos (netflix/hulu) due to proxy..

I will have ADSL2 for now and wait fibre (2016).. pretty bad as I am 1KM from exchange so vdsl is no good for me too (only getting 22MB down) while getting 19MB on adsl2..

I just hope that fibre will be available soon (hopefully not 2015).

Im officially back with slingshot.
Transition went smoothly. Received txt last friday that I will be connected by Monday afternoon. Then at 530pm my modem disconnected from bigpipe. So i thought that was the sign. So i input my slingshot details on modem and viola! Connected!

Tested netflix hulu and other streaming site and all went well. Can stream superhd and 3d movies without buffering.

Thanks Slingshot! And thanks bigpipe for the 3months free internet.
