Hi,

I have recently moved from Australia to the West Coast, in particular the Greymouth area.

I am looking at joining Snap on a ADSL Broadband Plan, and not being familiar with how things work in New Zealand I am wondering if my Billion BIPAC 7800VDPX Broadband Router that I brought with me from Australia will be suitable to connect to the Snap ADSL network.

I really like the router, in fact it is the only router that I have owned that I have ever been happy with, and I would really like to keep using it.

If it helps, the specs of the router are available here: au.billion.com/products/voip/bipac7800vdpx.html

Thanks in advance.

It should work fine with the right settings (PPPoA, VC MUX, VPI:0 VCI:100)

Refer to: http://www.snap.net.nz/support/content/1/17/en/general-settings.html

It should work, but you're obviously not going to get any support from your ISP, and need to be aware that legally speaking also aren't allowed to connect it to the Chorus network as it doesn't have a Telepermit.
