My inbox had a message yesterday from 2degrees with a special offer of a little free credit if I top up this weekend. I guess prepay customers who have an email address registered must get these occasionally. No problem with that.
But I was only able to figure this out after switching my email client from plain text to HTML content. I usually read messages in text first, and the plain text of this message read like an incoherent copy-paste job of snippets from similar offers sent to other people in the past. It mentioned another prepay customer's 022 number and an (even better) offer for them if they topped up in a weekend in May.
It's not good to send one customer's offer details to another, even if it is only noticed by people who read their email in plain text.
