Just on the Snap website, came across this special deal that they are launching with 2degrees. Interesting considering the 2degrees talk in NBR themove into the home market. Is this the first step of a greater partnership or just a stop-filler?

http://offers.snap.net.nz/2degrees/

(Also thought about cross-posting to 2degrees forum but won't).

This looks like a great deal but I still have a few months left on my Snap contract, does this mean I can't get the deal?

This looked OK till I scrolled down and saw neil finn.

Not sure I really want to go onto a contract with 2degrees at the moment tho.

It's a month to month contract so it's not as bad.

Yeah, I just lost the $29 3 gig pack on telecom because I was a dollar short for it to renew and didnt notice in time so I might have to find somewhere more data price friendly to move to.. Its tempting.

Does this mean that Snap has axed their reseller arrangement with Spark? If so then it wouldn't surprise me because their offering was never particularly good value.

The odd thing is how this is DSL only. No idea why snap would only want to offer this on chorus dsl services.

It's probably a way to hook customers into their service, then once people have fibre available to them in two years or so they'll upgrade to snap fibre

I'm grandfathered on Snap naked VDSL 100gb for $85 p/m and I'm a 2degrees prepay customer spending $19 p/m. On the face of it, this would be a very good upgrade for a little bit more per month, but the existing contract dashes all hope of that. Shame really.

Once you account the data bonuses i get from 2degreesworld on prepay, im thinking even with the 15% discount on this it wouldn't be as good value. Love 2degreesworld _b

Though saying that, the discount off the snap plan too is nice, again just disappointing theres no prices for fibre.

Have you given them a call and asked? That's what I plan on doing.

The discounted snap pricing is identical to the normal pricing I am paying for Bigpipe, and the terms are virtually identical: BYO modem, unlimited data, no contract.
