With Myrepublic launching unlimited 100/50 fibre plans with free unblocker service and voice calls for $109? That's like $16 a month cheaper than Orcon.
Maybe there are some hooks i'm not noticing.

pedrogarcia: I like Orcon as a company. I'm just noticing the market shifting. $16 a month isn't a minor difference for the same service. If electricity had that kind of differential you'd notice too.

coffeebaron: Actual MyRepublic price for equivalent is $124 / month. It's only a limited time offering that gives you the better pricing.
Ragnor: Hey guys lets all jump on the cheapest newest provider that doesn't have a proven track record/reputation.... because that always works out well
networkn: Yup, personally I think people need to focus on VALUE, rather than just simple cost. VALUE takes into account a greater number of factors and is a better indication you are getting a BETTER DEAL.
I think on here for the most part the value that people look for in their broadband connection is first speed and reliability then cost.
