Have been running this since last night with no problems. Some nice new options within the interface.

I'm interested in this: "Internet: added possiblity to use public IPv4 subnet". I wonder if this means you can use multiple ip addresses on the Fritz. Haven't had a chance to download the firmware yet and probably shouldn't do it while people are in the office.

Just updating to the new firmware as listed via the Fritz!Box on the 7490 and will test to see how it goes on UFB 200/200. I'm picking this roll out will sort any remaining issues out and SNAP won't need to use their own.

So far it's been good, upgraded last night and haven't had any problems. My UFB 100MB line used to be flakey but it's pretty solid now, can't remember when last I had a drop. Must be a good thing if I can't remember :)

Ralph has been great in helping sort out my previous issues.

This latest firmware sounds good but nothing noticble so far. Couple new bits in the web interface. I guess stability will be the key!

I was wondering about this as well. I couldn't find anymore information on this but keen to understand more. Then again, I'm not sure multiple IP's is even technical possible on 1 UFB line.

I was wondering about this as well. I couldn't find anymore information on this but keen to understand more. Then again, I'm not sure multiple IP's is even technical possible on 1 UFB line.

I'm told by Snap that it's possible to have a subnet on a UFB connection. I can't remember the costs though.

I can not be 100% sure my problems are caused by the firmware upgrade but they did appear just after I upgraded.

I upgraded to 06.20 this morning and since then have had problems with ssh and mosh. None before the upgrade.

After the upgrade it seems that wifi connections are pausing for several seconds on some connections.

For example - use mosh to connect to a server in Amsterdam.
Get the commandline prompt and press x 10 times.
Screen shows one x and then nothing. Normally echos them all and underlines them until it has not had a response from the server.
after about 8 seconds the Mosh warning at the top os the screen says it has lost contact with the remote server.
After about 10 seconds mosh reconnects and all 10 x appear at once.
Press x 10 times again and same as above.

Turn off wifi
Plug ethernet cable in
After a few seconds mosh reconnects to remote server.
Press x 10 times and all 10 are instantly displayed on the screen with the underline slowly moving across indicating that the local client is receiving replies from the remote server. This is what is expected.

Unplug ethernet cable and turn wifi back on - problem is back.
Swap back to ethernet cable and all is good.

Similar problem using ssh to an Amazon instance in Sydney.
Can connect but do an ls or ps that fills the screen and it will display about 20 lines then pause for about 10 seconds, then display about 20 more lines, then pause again and the same till the end of the command.

Sounds like some wifi issue that clears after a few seconds and a retry.

As I said I can not say for sure the firmware update caused the issues but the timings are close :-)

Maybe as you said its not related, net has been behaving slowly most of the day, mainly slow loading websites, reddit etc, but i was able to max out the connection on usenet during this so its not as if everything has been slow

I put on 6.20 earlier since i wanted to reboot the Fritz to see if that solved the problem anyway, so may as well do it both at same time,

However right now it seems to be back to normal again

Edit: spoke to soon, now its back to been slow and just had a twitter timeout

A quick search on Twitter (when it would load) and here didn't show anything so I thought it was just me (was playing havoc with Netflix and Reddit). One minute able to max out the connection, next minute Netflix dropping to 240 or stalling altogether (for up to 30 mins). On both Wifi and Lan also running 6.20.

I've been running tests on my connection and no problems.
Haven't had any drop-outs since upgrading and speed remains solid 95mb/48mb. Have run tests to many locations.

Wil continue to monitor though.

I have 3 VOIP line setup on my Fritzbox and am noticing better performance of this as well.

Umm wondering if it could be related to IPV6? I have this turned off on my Fritzbox. Then again I've had it turned off before I upgraded but as mentioned I am not seeing any issues.
