Sport is always the problem when you try search for your TV content online. Sadly for now Sky pretty much has you locked in, with the exception of EPL.
I used to think I was tied to Sky Sport. But then I looked at my actual usage patterns. I'd tape the All Blacks game, then watch it when my wife went to bed. I was also unaware of how expensive the sport package was (I had it in my head it was only $10 p/m for some reason). Once I found that out, I dropped it like a hot potato. I now watch all my ABs games thanks to the FTA coverage on Prime.
I do miss having other rugby games on tap (esp. Super Rugby), but not enough to justify the cost.
If you're not worried about losing live ABs games (or whatever other sport you may like to watch on Sky Sports), you should get along fine with your combination. You can also augment Netflix with other online services and still be way under your Sky costs. We currently subscribe to Netflix, Hulu & Lightbox for around $32 per month (including DNS costs).
