I'm on snap using their voip service with my vdsl and I was wondering am I the only one that gets this error? I have no idea what causes it, it seems to come and go from time to time.

The error I get on my fritzbox is: Internet telephony with [number]@connect1.plus.snap.net.nz via connect1.plus.snap.net.nz failed. Cause: Unauthorized (401)

Edit: forgot to note this issue has happened in the past but ever since I tried to set up DECT today, I have this 401 everytime on the ATA port & the DECT line as well.

I have these too, and snap is aware of the problem. My phone service hasn't worked for several days now and they can't find the problem.

They took some logs and sent them to the mfg of their hardware... but to date they still haven't fixed it.

I asked them to put the a note up on their network status page but they said 'it only effects a few users and not always, so we won't list it there.' In the mean time, I've called support line (using my mobile) all week hoping things would be fixed.

Mike - what did Snap say when you called their technical support? That's obviously the first place to ask questions when you have technical issues with a vendor.
