I'm thinking of building a small powershell/.Net app that can do data usage projections and calculations, so was wondering if there is an API exposed already to load usage information.

Basically, I want it to track how I am with my usage up until now, from the start of the month against my cap, and then also tell me how much data I can download per day/per week, in order to stay within my data limit.

FYI, I'm not looking for a "why don't you go unlimited?" response, so please don't reply with that.

when i was collecting a few stats, i was dumping the google data into a quick an dirty app to reformat it from the graph to values so i could do things to the data.

An API would have simplified the process a fair bit.

Does your UBNT EdgeRouter not give enough info on that?

its not using an API but crawling through the usual process, OP was asking about if there was an API

Ild say the same about my pfsense box, but turns out odd crashes can account for a sizeable amount of records being 'lost'

I think Snap said a couple years ago they were interested in making an API, but nothing's come to light that I've heard of?

I just did a Google search and found this old thread from 2010 mentioning one.

Need an official word I guess!

That's quite useful thanks. I may very well end up going down this path and adapting that code into powershell/.net. That way I can have it send me push notifications etc. when I reach certain limits and a few other tasks.

Seems there's been indications theres an API coming at some stage, as mentioned here in the thread, but it's not looking very live :(
