As this is the first time in 9 years that anything like this has happened I would say my oh so 1995 POP email has been pretty well stable so um your answer is pretty redundant and really nothing at all to do with what happened I don't appreciate a sale pitch disguised as an answer

My post may of been a little bit cheeky - sorry about that. Sure pop/imap is fine if you don't need to sync everything between multiple devices (send emails on one device and not another) and don't need to sync contacts and calendars.
Also if you prefer free well Pop/imap is fine.
I have had customers in the past that had pop emails and their laptop gets stolen or their hard drive crashes and all their emails disappear.
People don't tend to realize the value of that email data till it is gone.
