not complaining about the 3 months, ill take what i can get :)
- downer visits cant find a fiber tube that should be at the building...
- downer comes back digs up path runs a new conduit to the fibre ready what ever is running under the path path (not sure what is in the path, i can only assume some kinda conduit, not sure how they can connect another conduit (with 2 corners) to that then blow fibre down it, or why they wouldnt at the time blow it down or put in a pull tab thing)
- downer comes back relays the sidewalk
- chorus comes looks at the empty conduit that is coming out of the ground
- 2 van loads of chorus come back try to feed/blow the fibre down the what ever is in the path to the new bit they added, no luck
- say that downer is going to come back and try to do it from the other side?
- some nice folks wire the inside bits, takes no time at all.
i am indeed getting some super value for the $190 install... i cant imagine how much its actually costing, the fibre was rolled out last year in the area most is over head except at the building we have.
what i am hoping is that the snap gigatown package, that is the same cost as standard fibre (again amazing value, yay gigatown dunedin) will be in soon, not sure what will happen to gigatown packages once 2degs take over ?? (i got the snap is joining with 2degrees email today)
How is the giga connection going for anyone else that has access to it in Dunedin?
