I've got my home phone through the SNAP home phone plus VDSL package. I'm currently in talks with 2degrees to see if it's worth switching to their new plans from the SNAP one, but they've confirmed that if I do I'll end up back on a copper line.

I'm assuming that will mean a number switch (you can't keep your number if you're switching service types with the same provider) and a loss of IP phone based services.

Anyone have other experiences?

I was on naked broadband from Snap with phone services from 2talk. Was wondering how this would be handled if I changed plans. This is not good news. If the new plans require an analogue phone connection would it be possible to get a new number for that and leave the existing number with 2talk?
