I made few enquirers before moving from my current VDSL provider as I wanted to get UFB with 2D. Was advised on the phone and here too by 2D that the safest option is to move VDSL by signing up online then upgrade to UFB when VDSL up with 2D. There is no chance of having any downtime this way. Signed up online on 5th and now no internet since early hours of this morning. Tried 2D customer support they said check with other provider as order has been placed and sometimes Chorus notifies the other losing provider and they disconnect. No knew told me this before????
Can someone shed some light and 2D also jump in here as I can't afford to not have internet.

Have you checked with your losing provider as 2D suggested?

Hi Quebec,

If our order to move you across to us hasn't yet completed, this will be a question for your current/previous provider. Technically, there should be no change to your services until the date that the transfer request is booked for, then at that point it will just be a matter of changing the modem.

From what I can see, we haven't yet placed an order for your request (should be placed today), and there is still an existing service at your address. Chances are this is coincidental, you could have a fault or an outage in your area or something similar.

Once we have the order in and confirmed, we'll advise you of the booking date.

Thanks,

Ralph ^JOB

Bigpipe had a small outage this morning.

12:19pm "Heads up: after overnight work by Chorus some Bigpipe customers are experiencing an outage. Our network engineers are looking in to it now"

2:50pm "Outage update: network team have resolved, are looking into cause. If you're still offline, try rebooting modem/ONT. Thanks for patience!"
