Hi

I am trying to setup Office365 email for a client who uses Orcon for their domain hosting.

They have a very basic DNS zone entry console and I am having trouble setting up the necessary SRV records.

I need to enter the following records :

Service

Protocol

Port

Weight

Priority

TTL

Name

Target

_sip

_tls

443

100

3600

@

sipdir.online.lync.com

_sipfederationtls

_tcp

5061

1

100

3600

@

sipfed.online.lync.com

Does anyone have experience with entering these records in Orcon's portal?

As I am not the Orcon customer I can't easily call support for help.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

If they are just going to be using the Exchange email service on Office 365 then don't bother with those two DNS records, they are only for Skype for Business.

Otherwise move the domain to a proper domain name host provider like Metaname.

Or can you post a screenshot of what the Orcon DNS setup looks like?

Might be able to figure it out from that.

Even easier is to just port the DNS side of things to a free DNS provider like Cloudflare and manage it from there - beats trying to have a fight with a crappy control panel :)
