For some reason, my address doesn't show up on 2 Degrees broadband site to move over to them. Has anyone experienced this in the past? I'm hard of hearing so was hoping to move over to them on the site instead of calling up. Is there any other way to sign up without having to call them directly? Secondly, is there still a $10/month charge for a static IP? I'm moving from Bigpipe where it was a one off charge instead of a monthly, it's not a super huge deal, I just like to know what I'm getting into.

Spark won't reply to me nor BigPipe so I'm giving up my fibre dream and moving providers now instead of waiting. Their lack of IPV6 support is the final nail in the coffin for me. Any suggestions for the switch or help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Sounds like your address may be mismatching?

Likely it exists under a different entry - take for example my address. It's listed as 100.

on a map and in the councils databases, it's 102 and in chorus's system, It's 100 B.

I tried a few addresses near me, including leaving out the number and putting in just the street and it doesn't show up. I did the same with my brother-in-laws street (not far from me) and it showed up just fine. I'm not in a rural area or anything, it's just odd.

Static IP's are $10/mo with 2degrees however you don't need them (as you get a full public IP) unless if you were hosting things from your connection. I _THINK_ they're $20 once-off with Voyager, it was a few years ago when I signed up with them and requested one and don't know if this has changed. @VygrNetworkMonkey can likely confirm this as I can't seem to find it on the site either.

For Voyager broadband, static IP's are a one off $14.95 - this can be ordered at the same time as the broadband circuit/transition.

IPv6 assignments are free, and are static without cost.

Thanks guys, I'll check out Voyager as well, I didn't realize they gave a public IP by default, I don't need a static, especially on a VDSL line. Possibly in the future if I were to get fibre. I have 2 degrees for phone, so I'll compare and see what the cost difference is going to be and all that jazz. I appreciate the help. I'll see if I can ping them on social media or find a way to hook up my headset to my phone to call them. My hearing is *just* bad enough it gives me issues on the phone and in noisy places (like bars and stuff).

Thanks for the help everyone, I was able to pop out to a 2 degrees store and ask them, however they weren't able to do it in store either. So I've signed up with Voyager, we'll see how they work out. They have no contract, and seem pretty decent. It's a shame that this whole fibre thing is such a mess, I'll wait a few more years I guess and see if they can get their crap together.
