Is it worth it. I mean they put google ads on the page. You can get good hosting for less than $10-20 a month.

Pretty sure it's 10mb. Don't use frames though as they insert the google ads into every .html file including all the frames. Makes a framed page look pretty bad. If you can create a site in flash or something like that you'll be OK.

Correct (just so you guys have the official word).

If you don't want ads on your page we do a Unix hosting package with 500MB of space and a domain name for just $15 per month.

What he means is that its actually 10 times smaller than he's saying, its 50MB and not 500MB, a little over inflated like the speeds people get on LLU :D

I remember when Orcon freehosting was 10MB, had no ads, came with a .orcon.net.nz subdomain, and you didn't even need to be an Orcon customer...

I feel old now.

I can't even figure out how to enable a freehost site for my account. There doesn't seem to be any documentation on it at all.

I don’t think they are taken new sign ups for freehost anymore.
