Orcon pushed out a new plan with just the bare essentials: Homeline and 5GB of broadband, for $79.95/mth.

Homeline does still include Voicemail, Call Waiting and Caller ID, but doesn't include the extra calling packs.

Also, Purple+ now has 15GB of data, from it's previous 10GB, but still costs $79.95.

Looks pretty good to me...

EDIT: They also have reduced the non-LLU Platinum plan down from 25GB to 20GB, and they have added $5 to the Purple (with calling) plan.

The non-LLU Platinum was always 20GB.

Silver+ was based on a lot of feedback from existing customers, and prospective customers alike that they did not want either a) the larger data cap or b) the unlimited national calling on the Gold+ package.

It is still upgradeable with 25, 50 and 100GB data bundles for those who do want more data.

And just like our other plans there is no fixed term contract.

There is a handy comparison table comparing all 4 of our LLU plans in my latest blog post.

Whoops - must have looked into the Platinum+ plan...

Silver+ looks great to me.  I never liked paying for the national calling I never use.  I've already switched! :)

I've just switched to Purple + 15GB for 79.95 Naked DSL, looking forward to trying it out especially with the ADSL2+
