Has anyone else (besides me and @michaelmurfy) noticed that 2degrees connections seem to be losing IPv6 connectivity quite frequently this last week (including tonight)?

My IPv6 is running currently due to my hack but I believe the Fritz!Box needs a reboot to re-establish?

Yes, on EdgeRouter 4 here I've lost ipv6 multiple times in the last few days

I gave up complaining because the general consensus was that it was a third party router problem, but I'm glad it's happening on a Fritzbox too.

It started happening after they upgraded all their BNG's, prior to that ipv6 was rock solid

I wonder if the needing to reboot is a bug related to the "NZ" firmware (provider settings stuff)?  I'm on the international Fritz firmware and also with 2deg, and my Fritz has managed to renew an IPV6 connection according to the logs. That or I've not followed the recommended settings for IPv6.

Seems alright on Enable, Only event to do with IPv6:

06.01.19 03:31:48 IPv6 internet connection was cleared;prefix no longer valid.

That was about a month ago, and all working now.

I haven’t updated fritz since Fritz!os 07.00

There upgrade probably explains the issues I had. IPV6 had worked flawlessly till I started having problems. When I phoned 2 Degrees to explain my issue, the only thing they did was to log into my router and disable IPV6.

Hi All,

I've spoken to an engineer who will start to investigate the issue, capture packets etc.

Nick.

IPv6 is still working just fine for me. Using an Edge router lite. My ONT is the older version (no QR code, assuming that is the Ver 1 ONT?)

Mentioning as there was a previous problem with Ipv6 on certain Chorus ONTs.

Hi All,

Thanks - A change was made to the WLG Central BNG last week for another reason, this change is being revised, testing being undertaken etc. We are also looking to see if there are any repeat offenders on Fritzboxes elsewhere.

Nick

IPv6 fell off for me in the last week. I'm using pfSense and have a static IPv6 prefix. I restarted the ppp session (which would get the prefix renewed via DHCP) and it came back up.  I assumed that the prefix had been lost from some stateful table during an upgrade/reboot. Or is this a different problem?
