Ive worked out my new Huawei P30 Pro wifi calling today- works well.

My partner has a Samsung A8 (2018) phone and we cannot seem to find the setting to enable this. We realise its a carrier feature.

Anybody can help

Is it a 2Degrees variant? I'm pretty sure it's noted on their website that (at least with Samsung) it needs to be 2Degrees specific firmware.

Note that for qualified devices not bought from 2D you may need to visit a 2D shop.

Correct it must have the official 2degrees firmware on the handset and if it does not then check out Sam mobile and install it with Odin

You don't need to visit a 2degrees shop easy to do yourself with Odin

According to the 2Degrees page linked to above, it seems it is.

*Samsung Galaxy devices sold by 2degrees will either be sent a software update to enable WiFi Calling or come already enabled. If you got this model of phone from another mobile provider in NZ, it can be upgraded to enable WiFi Calling....

Things you should know
Only Samsung phones sold with 2degrees software installed will work for WiFi Calling. If you purchased your Samsung Galaxy phone from another mobile provider in NZ, it will need a software upgrade. Simply bring your phone into any 2degrees store and we’ll help sort this out for you. If you bought your phone from a parallel importer or from overseas, then it is not compatible and cannot be upgraded.
