I have been charged by 2degrees by 500$ for international roaming. I only remember turning my mobile data twice. Upon arrival (turned it off immediately after receiving warning) and on the 3rd day. but their record shows more than that.

Tried contacting technical support but the best they did is to send me a record of my mobile data usage
Asking for help if anyone can offer assistance in this matter

Which country were you in?

Android and iOS both let you see data usage by apps in their settings, but looks like you've already had your data usage shared.

As soon as you connected it would have started a sync of all your apps, gmail, facebook etc.

Shared data does not work whilst international roaming. Only your own usage can be counted towards roaming charges.

Sorry I don’t quite understand what you meant by ‘data usage shared’

I was on Myanmar, and I was charged 100-200 dollars everyday for 3 days( for international roaming)
Tried talking to 2degrees but they said they believe their data are true and accurate but I have been very careful on using my data after receiving the warning.

Data roaming in Myanmar costs $10/MB. Even a dribble of unintentional data will be very expensive at that rate. Could’ve been a lot worse than $500.

In regards to the amount of data actually used, yes: the system does not just make it up, I’m afraid. It measures it down to blocks of ~5KB in size.

The data counting is very accurate and tech support did help you! What else would you like them to do?

The best assistance I can offer is pay up!

Places like that on casual are $10.00 per mb, so you could be uploading photos and all sorts. 1 Mb is nothing these days.

$500 means 50 Mb of data.

Yea if you came here for sympathy it wont happen.

People on here have literally built the systems that count this usage. They know what goes on better than you know what goes on inside your own body.
