I don’t know if this is a network issue or a phone issue but whenever I go outside the range of my Wi-fi, the call gets dropped. There is adequate mobile signal in the area and it happens everywhere I use Wi-fi calling. Is this a phone issue (iPhone Xs on iOS 12.4.1) or a network one?

Thanks in advance

A

This is expected until VoLTE is in place, There is no handover from Wi-Fi calling to the 3G / WCDMA network

Edit: Corrected wording

@AKT I have edited my post above as I worded it incorrect but this is not a fault

So... WiFi calling stops working when WiFi isn't available... this one sounds tricky! πŸ™ƒ πŸ˜… 😜

It's quite an annoying limitation. I actually have WFC disabled most of the time because if I need to step out of the office to take a call, it cuts off.

Thanks for the info. The implication is that VoLTE is coming or have I misinterpreted that?

Yes VoLTE is coming but not sure when (must be soon) but it's only going to be off the RCG (RBI2) sites at first as I understand
