Ok, this may not be the correct place for this post but there isn't a warehouse mobile forum, and warehouse mobile is 2 degrees network right.

That said my issue is related to extremely slow download speeds on the warehouse mobile network.

I have a ZTE MF910 4g hotspot (it was originally purchased from Spark but does support 700/900/1800/2100Mhz) which now contains a WH mobile sim card. I use it while I'm out in my car and connect my handset Galaxy S9 to the hotspots wifi network. I get a good signal level -30db on the wifi (2.4g).

I've set the apn details as provided by warehouse mobile (essentially apn: warehouse). I'm getting about 10-15Mb UPload but only about .04 - 1Mb DOWNload. I get similar performance if I connect a laptop or other device to the hotspot.

If I put the sim card into my phone I get download of around 10Mb which is not awesome but acceptable. I note my upload speed drops down noticeably but that doesn't bother me.

Is there some kind of throttling on hotspotting with WH mobile. If it were a signal strength issue or something like that I wouldn't expect to be getting decent upload speeds.

Any info or assistance appreciated.

Thanks

Doesn't explicitly say, but given the terms mention for use only in a mobile phone may suggest they have TTL monitoring on - any more than 1 hop to the device asking for data could be throttled to stop hotspotting, but still allow essential functions

It's worth noting, the MF910 does not CA.

your phone will however.

MAybe althought he terms say....   "Mobile Phone" means the personal GSM mobile phone, handset or other terminal or device approved for use on the Network and used by you with a SIM card to connect to the Network.

Doesn't specifically say hotspotting is throttled.

It's not an unlimited plan so I don't see any reason why hotspotting should be throttled.

WM hotspotting data isn’t throttled. Have you tried a 2d SIM in the same device?

So it appears the mf910 is based on the qualcomm MDM9225 chipset which from what I can establish does do CA?

No expert so not sure on that though

So it will only connect to a single carrier. We which will explain the slower network speeds.

The specs claim up to 150Mb on 4g LTE which is a long long long way from 1Mb.

Somethings not right... but what I dont know what.

That's standard spec for 1 carrier 20mhz 2x2 64qam.

Quite Likely there are other users and not a full 20mhz channel.
