Hi,
The orcon+ network just became available in our area so I signed up for it. I wasn't sure about the modem required though. Is the Siemens Speedstream4200 compatible with asdl2+? I can't find the box that it came with..
Also, when it is up and running do we need to tell telecom to stop billling us or will everything happen automatically?
Thanks.

Hi oliverb,

Welcome, great to have you on board!

The Speedstream 4200 modem is definitely ADSL2+ compatible, and should be fine.

Remember that if you want to upgrade to a wireless modem you might like to consider our Homehub option - which is a pretty sexy piece of kit you can rent for just $5 per month (or it comes included with our Platinum+ plan).

Also, you shouldn't have to tell Telecom anything, we take care of that in the background. It pays to keep an eye on your bills though just to make sure the change over is handled correctly.
