I've just been offered the Fritz!box 7530 for an ADSL connection. I assume this is standard for ADSL with another for fibre?

Any feedback on the WiFi signal strength with the 7530, can't seem to find much online? My current modem is a TP Link TD-W9980. Reasonable WiFi performance, but getting a bit long in the tooth with no security updates.

Nokia 6110, 6210, 6234, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, Huawei Ideos X5 (Windows Mobile), Samsung Galaxy SIII, LG G4, OnePlus 5, iPhone Xs Max (briefly), S21 Ultra. And I thought I hadn't had many phones - but the first one around 1997.

The 7530 supports Ethernet WAN (fibre). I would imagine 2degrees use the same device across all of their fixed line offerings, but don't know for certain.

Can't comment on the Wi-Fi performance of the 7530, but I've tried a 7490 in the past and found it performed quite well, happily moving in excess of 400Mbps, and provided decent coverage.

I signed up to 2degrees a month ago, with fibre 900/400Mbps (never had ADSL with any ISP so I can't comment to that) and the router they supplied was the Frtiz!Box 7530. Someone I know mentioned to me they thought the 7490 is better (they didn't explain how) and suggested perhaps 2degrees were out of that model, but I am happy with the 7530.

Best speed tests I've seen with my newest laptop: over ethernet 930 Mbps down 530 Mbps up; over Wi-Fi in same room as router, 400+ down and up.

Wi-Fi range: it seems good to me, nothing exceptional, on a par with previous router from different ISP. With the Fritz 7530, 5G coverage to the furthest room in our house (down a hallway, through a wall, and upstairs from the router) was not quite sufficient for streaming. So I got a range extender, set it up at an AC socket halfway down the hallway, and now everything works great.
