Hi guys, so I've just renewed my 12 month contract with 2Degrees. However, I'm planning to move to a new home that we just successfully purchased (so happy) after a long time negotiation...we're moving in a few months from now. Anyways, just wondering any tips or advice on what should I do? 2 degrees is indeed the best internet company I've dealt with so far but I'm not so sure if they're flexible on this type of situation? 😅

Give plenty of notice before the move at least 15 business working days

@nztim I think so..our current home that we're living in, the fibre installer was installed by ultrafastfibre.

@Linux so 15 days before we move into the house and start living there, we need to call 2Degrees to tell them that we are going to be moving to a new home and we want to transfer our existing 2Degrees account contract to this new home address? sorry for the nuisance.

Yep call them with the date you're moving. They'll sort the rest.

Great! that's awesome to hear. Honestly thought I broke the contract rules or worse, charge a fee for moving to a new home 😬

Thank you for everyone's assistance.

15 business working days don't count Saturday & Sunday as business working days

you are. not breaking a contract if you are moving home with like for like service

e.g. you are in contract with 2degrees on
ultrafast fibre and you move to a new location with 2degrees on ultrafast fibre

problems with contracts can occur if you are in say 2degrees and you move say from ultrafast fibre to a chorus area or vice versa

On a side well done im joining the home owners club! Its not easy in these times!

You could well be charged a fee for moving house. This is entirely reasonable as there will be costs for 2degrees in you moving.

From experience (I had started a new contract, bought a house and moved my service) 2degrees were great and didn't charge me anything. New house was a brand new UFB connection etc also and there was a couple of months where I had my service "paused". I actually don't think they bothered to extend my contract out because of this.
